Unveiling Release Date For My Latest Novel In The Ronnie Blake Series.

I’m thrilled to announce that the next book and Ronnie Blake series will be released in September.

This is a follow-up to Because She Looked Away, which introduced both Ronnie and the DEAD Team of DI John Fenton, and detectives Malachi Henry, Tess Larson and Dimitri Horvat.

I reckon every single author feels nervous anticipation on the release of their latest book, so I was delighted when readers not only enjoyed Ronnie and the DEAD team’s first case, but also requested another instalment…

It is completely edited, proofed, typeset and ready for the presses to roll (I watched that happen with one of my earlier books, and it was amazing to see).

So September it is, complete with launch events (details to follow) and plenty of online razzmatazz.

But what about the book itself? I hear you ask…

Well, I decided that I wanted to explore memories and the way some are lost, others can be implanted and some are waiting to be revealed. That was my starting point and here is the blurb…

TWO BODIES. TWO DECADES APART. ONE DEADLY CONNECTION.

When an arson attack reveals a fresh corpse alongside remains from nearly twenty years ago, DS Ronnie Blake and Cambridge's special investigations unit, known as the DEAD team, must investigate both to find the connection. Their only lead is Mariel Quinn, who, as a child, survived her mother's abduction and presumed murder.

Mariel remembers nothing, except a single, haunting phrase she repeated over and over. Now, as long-buried secrets resurface, the team must untangle a mystery long thought lost before the killer strikes again.

I hope this tempts you to make a date with Ronnie and the team. Crash and Burn will be available in all the usual formats (including the audio read by Rose Robinson of the Archers). Signed copies are available via my website.

I love online and in-person events, and that includes for book clubs too… Please drop me a line if you would like an author visit to your library, local bookshop or reading group.
